QRMotion · Last updated: July 22, 2026

Getting started

  1. Open QRMotion and choose the type of code you need on the main screen: link, WiFi, text, contact, email, phone, SMS or event.
  2. Fill in the form fields. The code takes shape at the top of the screen as you type.
  3. When the code is ready, tap Share / Export to send, save or print it.
  4. If you want to keep it for later, tap Save and it will appear in the History tab.

You don’t need to create an account or grant any permissions to get started.

Customizing the code

Tap Customize on the code screen to change its appearance. The code color can be changed in the free version. The remaining options — background color, gradients, center logo, module and corner styles, and frame with text — are part of Premium.

Every time you change the appearance, the preview updates instantly. If the color combination compromises readability, a yellow warning appears. The warning does not block export: the final decision is yours, but it’s worth scanning the code before using it.

Exporting and sharing

Tapping Share / Export opens the list of available formats:

  • Standard PNG (free): includes a small watermark.
  • High-resolution PNG (Premium): choose 1024, 2048 or 4096 pixels.
  • Vector SVG (Premium): scales to any size without losing sharpness.
  • Print-ready PDF (Premium): in letter, A4 or sticker size.

Choosing a format opens the system share sheet, where you can send it by message or email, save it to Files, or save it to your photos.

Your code history

The History tab shows the codes you saved, with the type, a short identifier and the date. Tap any of them to view and share it again. To delete one, swipe it sideways and confirm.

The free version keeps three codes. When you save one more, the app shows you what you already have and asks which one to replace. Premium removes the limit.

History lives only on your device. It is not synced or backed up to the cloud.

Tips for better results

  • Always test the code by scanning it with another phone before printing in quantity.
  • Keep contrast high: a dark code on a light background is the most reliable combination.
  • If you add a logo, keep it to a small portion of the center.
  • Leave a white margin around the code when printing; without it, readers struggle.
  • For large-format printing (banners, posters) use SVG or PDF instead of PNG.
  • The more information you encode, the denser the pattern. For long text, consider using a short link instead of the full text.

Troubleshooting

The code won’t scan. This is usually caused by low contrast, an oversized logo, or a missing margin around the code. Return to the default colors (black on white), reduce the logo, and check that the printed code keeps a white border. If you printed it small, try a larger version.

The printed code looks blurry or pixelated. You exported at standard resolution. For printing, use high-resolution PNG, SVG or PDF from the Premium options.

The export option isn’t available. The button stays disabled until the form has the minimum required information. Check that the required fields are complete and error-free.

I bought Premium and still see ads or locked features. Go to Settings and tap “Restore purchase”. If the problem persists, confirm you’re using the same store account you purchased with and that the device has an internet connection at that moment.

I can’t find a code I had saved. In the free version, history keeps three codes; if you saved a new one, you may have replaced an older one. History also doesn’t transfer between devices and isn’t recovered after uninstalling the app.

The app appears in a language I don’t want. QRMotion uses the language set on your device. To change it on iOS: Settings › General › Language & Region. On Android: Settings › System › Languages.

Privacy

QRMotion does not collect the content of your codes. Everything you type — links, WiFi passwords, contact details — is processed on your device and never sent to our servers. The app does not request access to your photo library, camera, location or contacts. Full details are available in our privacy policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the app work without an internet connection?

Yes. QRMotion generates QR codes entirely on your device, without sending anything to a server. You can create, customize and share codes in airplane mode. Only ads and the Premium purchase require a connection.

Does the app scan QR codes?

No. QRMotion creates QR codes, it doesn't read them. To scan a code you can use your phone's Camera app directly: both iPhone and most Android devices recognize QR codes without installing anything extra.

Do my QR codes expire or stop working?

No. QRMotion generates static QR codes, which means the information is encoded inside the pattern of squares itself. They don't depend on any server of ours or on an active subscription. A code you print today will keep working even if you uninstall the app or stop using it.

Can I edit the content of a QR code I already generated?

Not after you've shared or printed it. Because the content lives inside the code, changing it means generating a new code. If you saved the code to your history you can open it, edit the details and export a new version, but the earlier code will still point to the original information.

What types of codes can I create?

Eight: website link, WiFi network, plain text, contact card (vCard), email with pre-filled subject and message, phone number, SMS message, and calendar event.

What does Premium include?

High-resolution export with no watermark, vector SVG and print-ready PDF formats, full customization (background color, gradients, center logo, module and corner styles, frame with text), unlimited saved-code history, and removal of ads.

Is Premium a subscription?

No. Premium is a one-time purchase. You pay once and it stays unlocked permanently on your store account. There are no automatic renewals or recurring charges.

Why does the free version add a watermark?

Codes generated in the free version include a small mark in the lower corner. The code remains fully functional and scannable. Watermark-free export is part of the Premium features.

I bought Premium but the app still shows features as locked.

Open Settings inside the app and tap “Restore purchase”. This re-checks your purchase history with the store and unlocks the features. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple or Google account you used for the original purchase.

I changed phones. Do I have to buy Premium again?

No, as long as you use the same store account. Install the app on the new device, open Settings and tap “Restore purchase”. The purchase is valid across all your devices on the same platform.

Does an iPhone purchase work on Android?

No. In-app purchases are handled separately by Apple's App Store and Google Play. A purchase made on one platform does not transfer to the other.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by the store where you made the purchase, not by us. On iOS, go to reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple account and select the purchase. On Android, request it from play.google.com/store/account. If you need help with the process, write to us.

Is my code history saved in the cloud?

No. History is stored only in your device's memory. If you uninstall the app or switch phones, the history does not transfer. Codes you already exported or printed are unaffected.

Why does the free version only save three codes?

The free history keeps three codes. When you save a new one with the history full, the app shows you what's saved and lets you choose which to replace; it never deletes anything without your confirmation. Premium removes that limit.

I added a logo and now the code won't scan.

A logo that's too large or colors with poor contrast can prevent reading. The app warns you when it detects insufficient contrast. Try a smaller logo, darker colors on a light background, and always test the code by scanning it before sending it to print.

Does the app need access to my photo library, camera or location?

No. QRMotion does not request access to your photo library, camera, location or contacts. To add a logo it uses the system image picker, which hands the app only the image you select without granting access to the rest of your photos.

What happens to the WiFi password I type into the app?

It stays on your device and is encoded inside the QR code, which is how network codes work. It is never sent to our servers or included in usage analytics. Keep in mind that anyone who scans that code can connect to the network, so share it only with the right people.
